Many Arizona Cardinals fans wished William Powell well when he was waived by the team on Tuesday. And many Cardinals fans were happy on Wednesday, as the Philadelphia Eagles were awarded a waiver claim to Powell.

However, Powell is no longer with the Eagles.

According to NBCSports.com, Powell failed his physical and is now a free agent. Powell didn’t have much room to shine in a crowded Cardinals backfield, but he had a chance to make the roster as the third-string running back in Philadelphia.

Unfortunately for him, he blew that chance.

Powell registered 217 rushing yards on 60 carries last season, so he didn’t exactly light up the world in Arizona. With Ryan Williams, Rashard Mendenhall, Stepfan Taylor and Andre Ellington now in Arizona, he didn’t have much of a chance to make the roster and make an impact.

And now, he doesn’t have much of a chance to make any roster.
