All of the buzz about the speed that the Arizona Cardinals have added with the signing of free agent Ted Ginn Jr. and rookie wide receiver John Brown out of Pittsburg State, has been the local medial talk all off-season leading up to training camp. But the Cardinals have had some speed on their roster already before these amazing signings that cannot go over looked. Fans come out to training camp to see the new toys on the field for the first time, and also the usual veteran suspects. But some times they tend to over look what has been there all along. Wide receiver Brittan Golden has caught some eyes in camp, when it comes to speed he is right there with these new guys and is making some unbelievable catches in practice, more so in live action rather than just drills.

Coach Bruce Arians has always said when the pads go on the real players stand out, and this young man is really starting to stand out quietly. The deep ball is becoming more and more exciting in camp and throughout the crowed some have said “oh I remember this guy, he can fly” speaking of number 10. Lets not forget the big-play ability this young receiver can display as we flash back to his 63 yard reception in the big upset game in Seattle last year, and had Carson Palmer put that ball out in front of him it would have been for six points. Brittan Golden only had limited opportunity to show what he can do as the offense was still feeling itself out and he was only able to appear in five games and recorded only 4 receptions for 136 yards.

But this guy has the speed and ability to make it in this league, the problem will be to many guys battling for the same position, one thing is for certain, it’s a competition, and Golden is right there in the mix making plays in practice that can not go over looked for to long.

If the Cardinals do not keep this kid because of having to many receivers, then its without a doubt with his speed and hands he will find a job fairly quickly. Looking forward to see him in pre-season where he may just make the decision that much harder on the coaches.
