Karlos Dansby – Remember the name!!!
For everyone out there in the football world I’ve got two words that you are going to be hearing alot this season: Karlos Dansby. The fourth year player out of Auburn University was everywhere on Monday night; in the backfield stuffing the run, coming off the edge to rush the passer, forcing a fumble, sacking the quarterback, everywhere!
Dansby finished the night with 11 total tackles, 4 solo/7 asst with one forced fumble and .5 sacks for the Arizona Cardinals in a tough loss to division rival San Francisco. Not bad for someone who is supposedly on the bubble with the team to prove he’s got the skills to play LB. This guy showed he can flat out play, and his renewed presence in the middle eases the burden off of pro bowl SS Adrian Wilson, who for once was not the team’s leading tackler. Huh…
Dansby has all the tools: the speed, athleticism, strength and football instincts to be a consistent playmaker on this defense along with Wilson. And with the aggressive blitzing schemes that Def. Coordinator Clancy Pendergast is known for, I would expect to see Dansby in the backfield terrorizing opposing QBs all year long.
