Around the NFC West
By Scott Allen
As camps open around the NFC West, including the Arizona Cardinals, there is a lot of news as well.
St. Louis Rams: The Rams signed first round draft pick Sam Bradford just in time for the first full squad workout on Saturday. He signed a huge contract with $50 million guaranteed. This is great news for Rams fans and all fans of teams who have yet to sign their first rounders. Well, the great news is he signed, not so sure about all that guaranteed money for a player who has yet to play a down in the NFL and is coming off a season ending injury his senior season at Oklahoma.
San Francisco 49'ers: The Niners signed all their remaining unsigned draft picks on Friday. That is a much better start for the Niners than last season when they had to deal with a lengthy holdout from receiver Michael Crabtree.
Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks signed offensive lineman Chester Pitts, formerly of the Houston Texans. The Hawks need all the help they can get on that offensive line, especially protecting an aging and oft-injured Matt Hasselbeck.
