Are you ready for some football?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple weeks, you’ve undoubtedly heard some encouraging discussion about the end of the NFL lockout. The NFLPA and owners continue to work hard to come to a resolution. There is a realistic possibility that the lockout could be lifted this week and team activities will begin over the weekend or early next week. This would give teams about a week to take care of business before camps begin.

Cards fans be prepared for a flurry of activity
It’s hard to feel the NFL season on the horizon. The NFL lockout has caused a long, quiet off-season. The lack of activity doesn’t change the fact that moves need to be made. As soon as the Cardinals can resume team activities, you have to expect a flurry of activity. Players need to be signed, others need to be moved and trades will be finalized. Hard to say how teams will be able to pull things together in such a short time, but it will be interesting to watch it all unfold. Also, it’s hard to say how much preparation management has put it during the lockout. If you listen to local and national NFL coverage, they will lead you to believe that Kevin Kolb joining the Cardinals is a lock. In fact, even Kolb himself has mentioned envisioning playing for Arizona. If that’s the case, it’s realistic that Kolb could be with the Cardinals when they report to camp in Flagstaff next Friday, July 30.
