Von Miller is the type of player that has the ability to play for a defense that is above average and make it great. A player with virtually no weakness, who is a threat off the edge in any passing situation and also stout against the run.

Miller plays an important role in the Denver Broncos’ defense. His ability to play strong side linebacker in base defense and also rush the passer as a defensive end in sub packages brings much needed versatility on defense.

According to Pro Football Focus, Miller had 86 combined sacks, hits, and hurries in 2012. These numbers are even more impressive considering that Miller mostly rushed the passer mostly on sub packages. His ability to convert speed into power makes him the best edge rusher in the NFL.

Miller has tremendous flexibility that allows him to win with speed and the power to keep offensive linemen off balance.

Miller’s game wouldn’t be complete if it wasn’t for his strong play against the run. The linebacker has the ability to take on offensive linemen in the run game and the explosiveness to blow by them and make plays in the backfield.
