Arizona Cardinals Fight Back In Third Quarter In Glendale


The third quarter in Glendale starts with the Chiefs marching down field with their short passing game as they have ben doing all game long.

Kansas City is the second best team in defending the red-zone and that has been the key so far in this game. Cards had four opportunities in the red-zone and only have three field goals to show for it.

Chiefs offense continue to make the big crucial plays to keep the Cards defense on the field as the scrambling ability of Alex Smith is becoming a problem. Smith on a third a two scramble to his right and caught corner Patrick Peterson on a deep ball on a broken play. That set the Chiefs up in the red-zone again but the Cardinals defense holds with a forced interception by Alex Okafor.

The Cards running game began to get some yards as Kerwynn Williams hits some big holes opened by the offensive line, Williams has 60 yards rushing.

Then the Card finally break through in the red-zone as Stanton hit Jaron Brown on a seem route and they convert the two point conversion and take the lead 17-14.

Cardinals have there first lead in a game since the Detroit Lions game back inn November. This one will be a good finish, lets see if the defense can continue to hold off the Chiefs and Jamaal Charles.
