Top Draft Prospect Randy Gregory Visited Arizona Cardinals, According to Report
Arizona met with Randy Gregory who is considered the best pass rusher in the draft
One of the top priorities for the Arizona Cardinals in the draft is to upgrade their pass rush. After finishing near the bottom in league rankings for sacks (35), Arizona plans to draft with the mindset of upgrading the pass rush. In a division with Collin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson, Arizona knows they need an effective player to put into the rotation in order to see defensive success against the two elusive quarterbacks.
According to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals were visited by top draft prospect Randy Gregory on Sunday.
Gregory is considered to be the best pass rusher in the draft this year. While Arizona’s first pick is currently sitting at the 24th spot, Gregory could still be there when the time begins to countdown for the Cardinals.

The star defensive player from Nebraska failed a drug test during the NFL combine, leaving many teams suspicious of taking the 235 pound machine. With a hurt draft stock, the Cardinals could add Gregory late in the first round. This would be a pick that could boost the confidence of the Arizona pass-rushing woes.
Last year at Nebraska, Gregory recorded 50 tackles, seven sacks and he even snagged an interception. In addition, Gregory was named second-team All-American and first-team All-Big-Ten in 2014.
