56. Cincinnati took care of the lowly Raiders, as they should, and it wasn’t even a game, as it shouldn’t be.. (0-0). Previous: 8th. Cincinnati Bengals. 6. team

Carson Palmer looked great but the Arizona Cardinals still have some of the same old problems, injuries have cropped back up (Ellington) and third quarter play is still pretty bad. However, the defense is lights out (when you don’t run screen passes) and when it counts in the fourth quarter you won’t find a team as stout on the line as Arizona. The Cardinals shouldn’t overlook the Bears next week, but if they take care of business, they’ll be right where they need to be, 2-0 and looking over the division (again).. (1-0). Previous: 6th. 123. Jerry Jones, Tony Romo and company got their Christmas gift early this year in a game they had no business winning, but was the cost too high with Dez Bryant out for half the season? We’ll see, until then, Tony Romo led a game winning drive sans Bryant and that has to count for something. Don’t give them the Super Bowl, but they did get a win.. (1-0). Previous: 4th. Dallas Cowboys. 4. team

36. Questionable play calling will not leave this team alone, this time, at least, they ran it, but everyone knew they would run it and Lynch was stuffed behind the line. Maybe they should have passed. Or not kicked that onside kick. After a tough loss comes the Packers next week, Seattle could very well fall to 0-2 to start the season.. (0-1). Previous: 2nd. Seattle Seahawks. 3. team

2. team. 49. A win for James Jones and the Packers overall, but should it have been a more convincing win against the Bears? Either way, we may have dashed the Super Bowl hopes of the Pack a little early when Jordy Nelson went down for the season.. (1-0). Previous: 3rd. Green Bay Packers

47. The Patriots rode an emotional high to show the world why they were the best team in the league last year. Problem is, every team in the division won as well and Buffalo looks scary if Week 1 wasn’t a fluke. The Pats stay on top for another week, but how long that will last is anyone’s guess. (1-0). Previous: 1st. New England Patriots. 1. team

Week 1 isn’t a big sample size to really get some perspective on the season as a whole, some teams went way up (Bills) and other dropped way down (Browns) and others need to find a way to stop the bleeding (or the rumors). Some tough matchups will define the ratings this week. Kansas City faces the Broncos, Seattle faces the Packers and the Cardinals look to take on the renewed Bears.
