Arizona Cardinals: Fantasy Starters for Week 12
Here we take a look at the Cardinals players you should consider starting this week in fantasy football.
The Arizona Cardinals take to the road to face a rebuilding 49ers team who are coming off of a los to the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers have different looking offense this week compared to the last last time these two teams faced off, which brings a promising fantasy day for Cardinals players. However, there are still some Cardinals who are must starts for your fantasy team. Who are the players that are expected to have good fantasy outputs? Let’s find out!
Carson Palmer, Quarterback
After weeks of either being tied for first or being second, Carson Palmer is finally alone at the top with the most touchdowns thrown this season at 27. Palmer leads Tom Brady, who is in second, by 2 touchdowns. After throwing 7 touchdowns against the Seattle and Cincinnati defenses, Palmer will finally play a less competitive defense that is the 49ers. With the way Palmer has played against tougher opponents, look for Palmer to continue his strong play to the tune fo 250+ passing yards and 3 touchdown passes.
Larry Fitzgerald, Wide receiver
Fitzgerald is on pace to have the best season in his career (even better than his Super Bowl season) and has 926 receiving yards this season (4th in the league) and 7 touchdown receptions (tied for 5th). Palmer and Fitzgerald have been one of the NFL’s best QB-WR combinations this season and a game against a weak 49ers defense that much clearer. With the advantage Fitzgerald has against a weak 49ers secondary look for Fitzgerald to break the 1000 yards receiving mark for the 7th time in his career. Look for Fitzgerald to accumulate 100+ receiving yards and at 1+ touchdown catches.
Chris Johnson, Running back
Chris Johnson has been quiet these past 2 weeks, and rightfully so as he has had to go up against the Seattle and Cincinnati defenses. Expect for Johnson to put up the fantasy numbers to lead your team to victory. In Week 3 against the 49ers, Johnson torched the San Francisco defense to the tune of 110 yards rushing, 40 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. Expect a similar output this time around for Johnson who is on pace for 1275 yards this season. With Johnson in your lineup expect him to put 150+ yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Michael Floyd, Wide receiver
We have a new face on the list, and that face is receiver Michael Floyd. In the last 4 games he has played in Floyd has caught 5 touchdown passes and has accumulated 328 receiving yards. With Floyd hitting his stride at the just the right time, he a prime candidate to start at your FLEX position. In 7 career games against the 49ers, Floyd has 616 receiving yards and 4 touchdown catches. Expect this trend to continue this week and look for Floyd to have 100+ receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

Arizona Cardinals, Defense/Special Teams
The Cardinals defense is a no brainer as this week’s best fantasy play at defense. Heading into this match up the Cardinals defense is ranked 3rd in the league. With Blaine Gabbert set to start under center for the 3-7 49ers, expect the Cardinals defensive line and secondary to have a field day. And with Carlos Hyde being ruled as inactive for this game a lot of the burden will fall on Shane Draughn who could fumble under the pressure. The secondary should also be able to contain any threat that Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith could possibly bring. The Cardinals should be able to force some turnovers against this Blaine Gabbert led offense and limit them to less than 14 points.
