Fantasy Waiver Wire: Arizona Cardinals
Every fantasy owner (including me) is approaching a pivotal time in the year, and those with extra cash on their fantasy team needs someone to push them over the edge. Hopefully this gives a few fantasy fanatics some assistance for dominating their competition, Arizona style!
Kerwynn Williams – RB

Yes, Kerwynn was just elevated from the practice squad, but if people remember correctly, Kerwynn ran over 100+ yards against a stingy Chiefs defense, then added it up with a 75 yard game against the best front four in the NFL. Now the Rams are a very different team in terms of maybe giving up huge amounts of yards, but I feel like a rushing touchdown is in order. Kerwynn can do it from 25 yards out, which is probably the ideal situation for the Cardinals either way. Some have already claimed David Johnson, keep up the faith for David, but if there aren’t many options I would try my luck with Kerwynn.

Arizona Cardinals Defense – DEF/ST
I think that the Cardinals defense is owned in most leagues, so this one is a gimme. The feeling here is that the Cardinals defense isn’t always the starter. Honestly, if there was any better week for the average fantasy owner to start the Cardinals defense, this would be the ideal week. You aren’t just getting a great match up against a porous Nick Foles, you are getting a defense that is getting back to their old ways. The Cardinals won the turnover battle last week against the 49ers for the first time in 3 weeks, I think they can do it again against the Rams. Tyrann Mathieu is also having a “savage season” as he says, he had 13 tackles, an interception, and 2 batted balls. A Defensive Player of the Year nominee, this defense deserves the start.
J.J. Nelson – WR

If J.J. Nelson isn’t claimed by now, I think that this is the right time to do it. J.J. has been targeted at least 3 times in two games, even with John Brown being back at full strength (or near it). I have no doubt in my mind that J.J. is going to blow most defenders away with his speed, and with the amazing touch that Carson has on the deep pass, it’s almost a match up worth having. The Rams aren’t doing so hot on defending the long pass, making this a fantasy “must grab”. I like all 5 receivers really, but I go with speed this game.
