Arizona Cardinals: Fantasy Starters for Week 15

Here we take a look at the Cardinals players you should consider starting this week in fantasy football.

The Arizona Cardinals close their 2015 road schedule against a Philadelphia Eagles team who are coming off their second straight win, beating a playoff hopeful Buffalo Bills team 23-20. The Eagles overall boast a very below average defense, which brings a promising fantasy day for Cardinals players. There are many Cardinals who are must starts for your fantasy team. Who are the players that are expected to have good fantasy outputs? Let’s find out!

Carson Palmer, Quarterback

What’s this list without Carson Palmer being the first suggestion? Nothing, that’s what! Carson Palmer threw for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 14 against a Vikings defense that ranked 8th against the pass and 13th overall. This is a very impressive stat line on a very impressive season for Palmer. It gets even better. The Eagles pass defense ranks 22nd overall in the league, which primes Palmer up for another spectacular outing. Look for Palmer to have a repeat performance from last week’s 300+ yards and 2 touchdown passing performance.

Larry Fitzgerald, Wide receiver

11. That’s the amount of touchdowns Larry Fitzgerald has in 7 career games against the Philadelphia Eagles. While Fitzgerald has caught a touchdown pass since Arizona’s game against Cleveland, Fitzgerald is primed to break this rut against an Eagles secondary he has dominated for almost a decade. With Michael Floyd and John Brown most likely forcing the Eagles into man to man coverage, Fitzgerald will have plenty of opportunities to punish the Eagles secondary. Look for Fitzgerald to finish the day with 85+ yards and 2 touchdowns.

David Johnson, Running back

In his two starts at running back, David Johnson has rushed for 192 yards. While he has yet to rush for a touchdown he is still the pass catching threat he has been all season and has caught 7 passes for 52 yards a touchdown these past 2 weeks. The Eagles gave up 152 rushing yards to the Buffalo Bills last week, and the Cardinals will be looking to take advantage of an Eagles rush defense ranked 27th. After failing to reach the 100 yard rushing mark in his first 2 starts, the third time will be the charm. Pencil Johnson down for 100+ rushing yards, 30+ receiving yards and 1 rushing touchdown.

John Brown, Michael Floyd, Wide receivers

Larry Fitzgerald has already reached the 1000 yard receiving milestone this year, John Brown is only 105 yards away. John Brown has been very productive since the game against Cincinnati, as he has averaged 15.25 points in PPR leagues. With Brown playing against a sub par Eagles secondary, he will get the chance to burn them with his speed. The other Cardinals receiver who has been on roll is Michael Floyd, who had his 4th 100 yard receiving game in the last 5 weeks. Palmer has been going to Floyd often this past month and will keep going to Floyd as long as he has been making plays the way he has so far. Look for either Brown or Floyd to finish with 75+ yards and a touchdown pass.
