The possibility of all these events happening is debatable and could end up not happening at all. Even if the Cardinals have the opportunity to taek Goff, Lynch or Wentz it is still uncertain if Steve Keim will pull the trigger. The Cardinals have much higher positions of need currently like depth on the defensive line and help at the secondary. For at least another year the Cardinals have stability at the quarterback position with Carson Palmer and may decide to put the pursuit of a future quarterback on the back burner.

Another thing to consider is Matt Barkley. There must have been a reason for Bruce Arians to keep him on the roster in favor of Logan Thomas and Phillip Sims. Drew Stanton could be playing for a different team next season and Barkley may see himself moving into the backup quarterback position on this team next. The bottom line is that if Keim and Arians will make the move that they best believe will benefit this team, whether it’s drafting a defensive lineman, a corner or even a quarterback.
