5. David Johnson

David Johnson, the man known as “Humble Rumble” to many fans, is a no-brainer for this list. At #5, Johnson definitely deserves a higher spot on the list. The only reason that Johnson is not higher on the list is simply the importance of the front office’s scouting abilities, the importance of a top-tier QB, and the need for a stout defense in an offensively-powered conference.

There is a reason that Johnson is the only singular player that made this list: he is a revolutionary running back that can take over a game. In 2016 Johnson set the record for most games to begin a season with 100+ scrimmage yards, and he was able to maintain that until his late-season injury.

Piling up 20 total touchdowns and over 2,000 scrimmage yards, Johnson is the definition of a dual-threat. Averaging 4.2 yards per carry on the ground and recording 80 receptions, Johnson finished his second season merely 121 yards away from becoming the third player ever to have both 1,000 receiving and rushing yards in the same year.

Following his injury, Johnson is even more motivated now to reach the exclusive club that houses only Marshall Faulk and Roger Craig. He is on a mission in 2017 to reach that mark and win a Super Bowl.

Watch out NFL, the “Humble Rumble” is hungry and motivated.
