The 2017 Power Rangers movie is making waves, and some Cardinals players resemble the “teenagers with attitude”

The Power Rangers started off as a television show in the 1990s and has evolved into many films. On March 24, 2017, the newest movie hit the big screen, but this time with a relatively darker twist.

Since the show originally premiered in the 90s, it is likely that many current Arizona Cardinals’ players grew up watching the action-packed show. In honor of the new movie premiere, and the sluggish portion of the NFL offseason, I will pair some of the movie characters to current Cardinal players.

These comparisons do not take race or gender into account as there are two female rangers and no women have ever played in the National Football League, much less the Arizona Cardinals. What will be taken into account is each characters’ and players’ background, personalities, and various characteristics.

The characters that will be paired with current players are the five rangers (Jason Scott, Zack Taylor, Billy Cranston, Trini Kwan, and Kimberly Hart), the ring leader Zordon, Zordon’s helper Alpha 5, and the evil and repulsive Rita Repulsa.
