Ryan Switzer is a tough receiver with great hands and route running ability

The Cardinals have some questions at wide receiver. Last year, after Larry Fitzgerald, things were a bit messy. Michael Floyd had an off-the-field incident that resulted in his release. Injuries limited most of the rest of the receiving corps, and the offense suffered as a whole.

Going into 2017, things aren’t much clearer. Fitzgerald might be playing in his final season, and there’s not even a clear number two now, much less a future number one. It’s fairly clear that the position will be addressed in this draft at some point.

Ryan Switzer doesn’t seem like the obvious answer at first glance. He’s not tall, standing just 5’8″, and he’s not a speedster, but he’s quick and a great route runner. He also has great hands, and makes the tough catches over the middle, a skill that will come in handy at the next level. The New England Patriots are winning Super Bowls with small, quick receivers, so the Cardinals may want to follow suit.
