The Arizona Cardinals will find out on Thursday how their 2017 schedule will play out

It won’t be a national holiday but it should be.  The Arizona Cardinals will know how their 2017 schedule will play out when the NFL releases it on Thursday afternoon.

We already know who the Cardinals will play.  Outside of the NFC West division at home the Cardinals play the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Outside of the NFC West on the road, the Cardinals will travel to play the Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, and Detroit Lions.  Their road game against the Los Angeles Rams will be played in London in October this season.

Here’s how I see the season playing out when the schedule is released on Thursday.  It’ll likely come nothing close to this in reality overall but maybe a few will come true.  We can all dream.

Monday September 11 – at San Francisco 49ers (Monday Night Football)

Sunday September 17 – Jacksonville Jaguars

Sunday September 24 – at Detroit Lions

Sunday October 1 – at Washington Redskins

Sunday October 8 – New York Giants

Sunday October 15 – at Houston Texans

Sunday October 22 – Tennessee Titans

Sunday October 29 – at Los Angeles Rams (London)

Sunday November 5th – bye

Sunday November 12th – Seattle Seahawks (Sunday Night Football)

Sunday November 19th – San Francisco 49ers

Sunday November 26th – at Philadelphia Eagles

Sunday December 3rd – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Thursday December 7th – Los Angeles Rams (Thursday Night Football)

Sunday December 17th – at Indianapolis Colts

Sunday December 24th – Dallas Cowboys (Sunday Night Football)

Sunday December 31st – at Seattle Seahawks

All of this is a best guess, so let’s please remember that.  They may not get two Sunday Night Football games but the two chosen would be the most likely.

The Cardinals haven’t played in the Monday Night Football opener double-header as the west coast team since 2014, so that might happen.  The Cardinals also need to take their turn in opening the season on the road.

I’m a little hesitant to have the Cardinals finish the season at Seattle given what a huge game it could be, however that could be the very reason it gets placed there.  Remember last Christmas Eve?

The Cardinals have to play a division foe in week 17 as well.  We know it won’t be a road game at Los Angeles like it was for the 2016 regular season.  The Cardinals will be playing at the Rams in London either October 22nd or 29th.
