The Arizona Cardinals announced eight players for their practice squad on Sunday

We’ve been waiting all day for it and now it is here.  The Arizona Cardinals have announced eight players for their practice squad.

Every player on the squad comes from their cuts made on Saturday.  Two players are not on that list, Cap Capi and Ironhead Gallon.

Some of the players on the list are not surprises.  Linebacker Scooby Wright was added to the squad.  Many believed that Wright would make the 53-man roster.

Also added was offensive lineman Dorian Johnson.  He was a 2017 fourth round draft pick.  He didn’t play well in the preseason and had difficulty in camp.  However given that, it is not surprising they want to continue to work with him.

Safety Harlan Miller was another one added.  He struggled early in the preseason and never really showed much.  However he was part of the 2016 draft class and made some plays late in the season.

Only keeping three tight ends, adding one to the practice squad was also not a surprise.  It was going to be either Rickey Seals-Jones or Gerald Christian.  Seals-Jones was added on Sunday.

Running back James Summers, who shined in the preseason game against the Chicago Bears also was given a spot.  Receiver Carlton Agudosi was added.  This is after coach Bruce Arians had positive comments about him the other day.

Rounding out those added were cornerback Ryan Lewis and defensive tackle Pasoni Tasini.  Lewis apparently has some fans as there were some on social media calling for his inclusion to the squad.

While the Cardinals did not put in any claims on other players who were cut, they are able to add up to two more players to the squad.  Cornerback Sojourn Shelton, cut by the Cardinals on Saturday, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
