Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams: Inactives
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams have announced their inactives for their tilt in London on Sunday
There is good news and bad news when it comes to the Arizona Cardinals list of inactive players on Sunday. One name no longer on the inactive list? Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche.
However one player that has been added to the list is running back Andre Ellington. The versatile back had not practiced this past week so it isn’t a shock he is inactive on Sunday.
The Cardinals will have plenty of help though at the position with Adrian Peterson, Kerwynn Williams, and Elijhaa Penny. That should be enough. It will have to be as running back D.J. Foster is also on the inactive list Sunday.
Other Cardinals inactive on Sunday are tight end Ricky Seals-Jones, receiver Chad Williams, quarterback Blaine Gabbert, offensive lineman Daniel Munyer, and defensive tackle Olsen Pierre.
Getting Nkemdiche back though seemed like a decent possibility all week as he was limited in practice but was reportedly looking better. How much he actually plays we will see but just having him available is a huge step.

As for the Los Angeles Rams, receiver Mike Thomas, quarterback Brandon Allen, running back Justin Davis, safety Cody Daivs, linebacker Ejuan Price, offensive tackles Andrew Donnal, Cornelius Lucas are inactive. The big name there is Thomas but he hasn’t played in but one game all season.
The Cardinals going with only three running backs isn’t that big of a risk but it means Peterson will be the workhorse. It also means Williams will spell Peterson when he needs it and both may be relied upon in the short passing game.
As for cornerback Patrick Peterson, he was also questionable heading into the game. However the indication was he was going to play all along.
The goal for Sunday is not to have a reason to add any more players to possibilities to the inactive list next week. With as many players that have been limited in practice over the last couple of weeks, it is nice to see most starters are available on Sunday.
