The Arizona Cardinals hit the mark in the first round with hopes of doing it again in day two of the 2018 NFL Draft

Who will the Arizona Cardinals add to the list of drafted players on Friday?  They have one second round pick and one third round pick on the second day of the draft.

After taking quarterback Josh Rosen in the first round on Thursday night, now they can focus on other needs.  The Cardinals should look to receiver, cornerback, or linebacker.

The Cardinals did lose one of their two third round picks on Thursday in the trade to move up to get Rosen.  Still, they should have a chance to make two more splashes on Friday.

The question is, who will those players be?  Personally my favorite and a lot of other locals are pulling to get receiver Christian Kirk.  Kirk played his high school ball at Scottsdale Saguaro.

Coming out of Texas A&M, Kirk was considered a good enough talent for the first round but there were too many others that fit that mold as well.  The Cardinals should be considered lucky if he is still around at number 47 overall.

Another guy a number of people around Arizona seem to like is cornerback Josh Jackson out of Iowa.  He is 6’1 and had eight interceptions for the Hawkeyes last season.

Some have even suggested the Cardinals go after running back Nick Chubb out of Georgia.  He too should go in the second round.

The thought is nice but with other needs still out there, running back not being a top one, I find it hard the Cardinals would even consider taking a back this early.  The only way I could see this pick being made is if the Cardinals aren’t convinced 100 percent in the health of David Johnson.

Next: Arizona Cardinals trade up for Josh Rosen

I have not seen a single reason for the Cardinals to believe Johnson is anything but back at 100 percent.  Chubb would be a backup, at least to start, in Arizona.  He’s good enough to be a starter now.
