Arizona Cardinals should see value in fantasy players
By Scott Allen
As long as guys stay healthy, there is no reason to believe Arizona Cardinals players can’t be huge assets for fantasy football players this season
They say it all starts at quarterback. If that’s true, it sounds like there won’t be many fantasy football fans taking Arizona Cardinals quarterbacks for their teams.
Its not that new starting quarterback Sam Bradford can’t play. The question is more of will he play and if so, how much? Many are worried about injury, a valid concern.
Bradford is expected to start at quarterback this season for the Cardinals. That is if he stays healthy. Will some take a chance at drafting Josh Rosen for their fantasy team?
Personally, even if Rosen was the name starter, I’d stay away from it. At least in 2018.
That being said there is value of drafting Bradford, if for nothing else, as a backup. He is one of the most accurate passers in NFL history. He could really put up some numbers if he manages to stay upright.
Outside of quarterback, of course Larry Fitzgerald should put big numbers up again. He has over 100 receptions in three straight seasons, making him especially valuable in point per reception leagues.
You could take a flier on rookie receiver Christian Kirk too. It will just be a matter of how he is used, especially early in the season.
The wild card is at running back. David Johnson returns from injury. He is still in a holdout. We still have seven weeks until the regular season starts, however fantasy leagues are starting to draft.
Johnson could have a huge impact for his fantasy owners. The Cardinals are planning on running the ball more this season with Steve Wilks at the helm.

Arizona could also have a sleeper defense. Their defense kept them in many ball games last season and was a big reason for going 8-8.
