Only way to prove Arizona Cardinals doubters wrong is to win

A new coach, a new quarterback, and a new system on offense and defense has a lot of people doubting the Arizona Cardinals in 2018

I just recently read one of the over/under’s for wins expected for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018.  It read at 5.5 on the over/under.

Count me in on the over.  The Cardinals, coming off an 8-8 season with a ton of injuries, do have a new coach and quarterback.  I get it.

What I don’t get is what supposedly changed?  The Cardinals will have a better quarterback than Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert.  They have returning NFL sack leader Chandler Jones still.

They get David Johnson back.  They get Larry Fitzgerald back for a 15th season coming off three consecutive 100-plus reception and 1,000-yard seasons.  But they will be bad?

Sure, they didn’t go buy a team of all-stars like the Los Angeles Rams did.  They didn’t make the trade for a quarterback like the San Francisco 49ers did.

They also could have a team that ends up being better than the Seattle Seahawks, although they should still fear Russell Wilson and what he can do at quarterback.  The journey officially begins on Friday, although some have already started practicing at team headquarters.

Maybe people just don’t know what to expect?  But given what the Cardinals roster looks like, it really isn’t much worse than what they had to end the season with in 2017.

Bradford and company are going to have to go out and prove the doubters wrong.  The only way to shut the haters up is to win.  It’s a what have you done lately for me league.

Its also a quarterback driven league.  Bradford’s health history sure leaves some as still being skeptics.

Next: Arizona Cardinals: David Johnson back on the field

Some just want to see rookie Josh Rosen right away.  Trust me, you don’t want that.  The longer he waits at this point, the better.  But unless the Cardinals win on the field, then there will always be second guessing.
