Woah, didn’t see this one coming, did you?

The Dolphins have been and will be connected to just about every available quarterback this off-season due to the impending departure from Ryan Tannehill. But, in this hypothetical situation, the team decides to hit the reset button instead of adding a veteran option to win now.

The Cardinals, on the other hand, get a nice haul from a team that is potentially going through a massive rebuild. Yes, the Dolphins first, second, and third-round picks in 2019 are nice, but that 2020 first-rounder is also quite enticing. It doesn’t hurt that this trade also fills a need (wide receiver) with a respected veteran in Kenny Stills, who is under a relatively cheap contract for the next two seasons.

Although the Cardinals move down quite a bit with this trade, impact players like Montez Sweat, D.K. Metcalf, Ed Oliver, and Jawaan Taylor could all be options with the 13th pick. Most importantly, Steve Keim increases the number of picks in the top 100 to five.
