Round 6, pick 182

Original selection: CB Christian Campbell

Re-draft selection: RB Phillip Lindsay

I don’t care if David Johnson is around for the long haul if you have the opportunity to add a Pro-Bowl talent in the sixth round you do it, no matter the position.

Lindsay shocked the nation when he earned the starting job for the Broncos. Despite starting just seven games, he led all NFL running backs with over 1,000 yards in rushing yard average at 5.4 The 5-8, 190-pound back was so impressive that he was the first offensive undrafted rookie in NFL history to make a Pro-Bowl.

The Colorado product doesn’t have the size or elite athleticism that most Pro-Bowl backs have but he’s excellent at analyzing the field in front of him and plays six inches above his size. His ability to evade defenders, force missed tackles, and wait patiently for holes to open up earned him Pro Football Focus‘ tenth best grade for running backs with 81.7.

Simply put, this one is as simple as it gets. The Arizona Cardinals headed into the 2018 draft with a need at backup running back and filled it with one that can take over a game if need be.
