The Arizona Cardinals open the 2020 NFL regular season at the San Francisco 49ers
The 2020 regular season is finally here. With COVID-19 very much in the forefront of daily life still, things will look somewhat different this season for the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.
For starters, no fans will be in attendance for this one. Maybe later down the road this season that will change. For now, both teams kickoff the season in this NFC West battle.
What: Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
When: 1:25 p.m. Arizona time, Sunday September 13th
Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
TV/Radio: Fox 10 (Kevin Kulger, Chris Spielman)/Arizona Sports 98.7 FM (Dave Pasch, Ron Wolfley)
The Cardinals were swept in the 2019 season series against the 49ers. Although both games were won by the 49ers, the Cardinals had a shot to win both.
The two teams last met in Santa Clara last November. The Cardinals blazed out to a 16-0 lead before the 49ers came storming back.
The Cardinals were up 26-23 with less than a minute remaining, however the defense allowed a wide open Jeff Wilson Jr. score on a 25-yard touchdown reception. Then the Cardinals had a crazy turnover trying to make something out of nothing and lost 36-26.
