32. 10. 30. Final. 30

The Arizona Cardinals made things difficult for themselves at times but come out of New York with their third victory of the season

The good news was the Arizona Cardinals got off to a better start than last week.  The bad news was it didn’t last long as some of the same struggles with the defense and penalties reared their ugly heads again.

That said, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a very quiet 380-yard passing day and receiver DeAndre Hopkins had an outstanding touchdown catch in the fourth quarter to give him six receptions for 131-yards on the day.

Murray had a tipped pass that was picked in the first half but it was really the only glaring mistake he made on the day.  He had just 31-yards rushing but one of those carries went for a touchdown.

The Jets never really looked to be in it but for some reason the doubt was there all afternoon.  The Jets had a number of dropped passes and missed wide open plays.  They certainly left a lot of points out on the field.

The Cardinals penalties hurt again on Sunday.  They had 10 of them for 59-yards.  The Jets had just 6 penalties.

The most concerning news for the Cardinals coming out of their win on Sunday was that surrounding the status of linebacker Chandler Jones.  Jones left the game in the first half with what has been described as a biceps injury.

After the game coach Kliff Kingsbury said that if the injury is confirmed as a biceps injury, his season is done.  Now the Cardinals have to figure out how to finish the last two-thirds of the season without him.

dark. Next. Cardinals must make week 5 statement

The Cardinals are now off to face the Dallas Cowboys next Monday night in Dallas.  The Cowboys are playing the New York Giants Sunday afternoon in Dallas.
