at New England Patriots

Perhaps COVID has hit no team harder than the Patriots, who saw several opt-outs before the season even started. As if losing Brady wasn’t bad enough, this version of the Patriots was teetering so much out of the gate that even Bill Belichick is having a tough time fixing them.

But, this is Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots Strategy we’re talking about, so never assume a game against the NFL’s greatest coach is a cakewalk. It ain’t, and if the Cardinals think otherwise, they’re walking into a trap.

Sure, the Patriots have struggled and quarterback Cam Newton is a shell of his former self. But when you’re playing the league’s greatest mastermind, you’re never safe. Expect Belichick to make life miserable for the passing game, placing his best corner on Christian Kirk while his CB2 and a safety double-team Hopkins. Classic Belichick.

So yeah, the Patriots are struggling. But this is by no means a bad football team and they’re not one any team in the NFL should take lightly. Especially since they still possess the genius that is Bill Belichick.
