Our final recent matchup has the Eagles coming out victorious in a 34-7 win in 2017. This game couldn’t have been more opposite for the two teams. Arizona had come crashing down to earth since the clubbing in Carolina, and the Eagles were flying high with NDSU stalwart Carson Wentz, who would emerge as a MVP candidate before his injury later in the year.

Arizona’s only score was to John Brown in the 2nd quarter, as their frustrating freefall continued during that year. Arizona would finish 2017 in a disappointing fashion for the second straight year, with a record of 8-80. That isn’t so bad, but it sure felt like the tires were spinning and this team was stuck in the mud.  Philly went on to upset the Patriots in Super Bowl LII, thanks to the “Philly Special” and Brandon Graham’s strip-sack on Tom Brady.

Next. Dan Arnold is underutilized in Cardinals' offense. dark

Let’s hope for another exciting matchup on Sunday between these former division rivals.
