Kelvin Beachum

As with Fitzgerald and Arnold, Beachum shouldn’t remain a full-time starter. He scored a 69.0 per Pro Football Focus, ranking him 46th out of 79 tackles graded.

But Beachum provides legitimate depth for a group that had all kinds of issues on the offensive line. And the more proven big bodies the Cardinals can get up front, the better off they are. Especially when it comes to protecting quarterback Kyler Murray.

Beachum can also spot start if the injury bug hits the offensive line. And while the Cardinals must look to upgrade Beachum’s position via either free agency or the NFL Draft, he would make an excellent swing tackle, backing up both positions.

The Cardinals do have a pair of tackles who can also fulfill this role in Marcus Gilbert and Josh Jones. However, Gilbert is returning after taking a full year off and Jones barely played. A lot of us like Jones, but given the fact he didn’t play much during the regular season shows that he didn’t do enough in practice to earn playing time.

Turning to the proven product would be the smartest thing to do. Plus, they can re-sign Beachum at an affordable salary to be the swing guy for at least 2021.
