Round 2

Miami. 49. 32. College Statistics. Pick Analysis. TE. player. Brevin Jordan

Kyler Murray and this Cardinals offense are lacking a dynamic playmaker in the middle of the field. Dan Arnold has the measurables, but could possibly better suited as a backup or move tight end. Arnold is a nice target in the red zone but did not have the trust of Murray last season. He was targeted only 45 times on 290 route run, which does not bode well in terms of chemistry.

This is a talented tight end group with a few big-name prospects available to draft. Inserting the versatile Brevin Jordan into Kingsbury’s offense is a step towards higher functionality.

Jordan can align anywhere on the offensive formation to create possible mismatches. He is an impressive blocker at 245 pounds, he competes hard to reach and seal the edge in the ground game.

The former Miami Hurricane is a phenom with the ball in his hands, he averaged 9.3 yards after the catch per reception. Combining his speed, quickness, and strength in man coverage against linebackers, Jordan could become a favorite target of Murray early in his career.

Round 3

College Statistics. Pick Analysis. Edge. Arizona State. Hamilcar Rashed Jr.. 80. 32. player

There is a possibility Hasaan Reddick prices himself out of Arizona after his breakout season. Chandler Jones will be back after missing the majority of the year with season-ending biceps surgery.

Replacing Reddick with another explosive yet cheaper edge rusher would be ideal. Rashed Jr has an explosive first step to threaten offensive tackles with his speed rush. He is a versatile rusher with experience rushing from the interior of the defensive line.

Albeit, Rashed Jr may not be prepared to handle a full workload against the run early on, assuming the role of a designated pass rusher (DPR) could prove beneficial for both sides. Bringing him off the bench on passing downs with fresh legs is an effective way to maintain a consistent pass rush to make opposing quarterbacks uncomfortable.

Nonetheless, with a healthy Chandler Jones returning, having a respectable and viable running mate for the foreseeable future. The former Oregon State beaver has the traits to fill this potential role.
