The Arizona Cardinals need a quarterback

No, not a franchise quarterback. The Arizona Cardinals are fortunate enough to have one in a league where it’s tough to find a player talented enough for the gig. Yes, Kyler Murray should remain the QB1 for years to come, barring a total meltdown.

Better yet, the Cardinals agreed to a deal to bring journeyman Colt McCoy in as a backup. McCoy’s experience is more than valuable. As he can mentor a young name while he spends at least a season in the desert.

At the time of this writing, the Cardinals also have Chris Streveler and Cole McDonald on the roster. But Streveler already played far more quarterback than he ever should in the NFL back in Week 17’s meltdown to the Los Angeles Rams. And McDonald is nothing more than a camp arm.

That said, it’s safe to expect the Cardinals to add one more quarterback to the roster in the later rounds of the NFL Draft, or they may even scan the Priority Free Agent Line. Let’s discover a few names who would make valuable fits for the Cardinals late in the draft.
