The Phoenix Suns saw a great deal of support from the Arizona Cardinals after earning a trip to this season’s NBA Finals on Wednesday.
After putting together a fantastic regular season and some historic performances in the playoffs, the Phoenix Suns are back in the NBA Finals after 28 years.
Arizona Cardinals players had a lot to say about their fellow Valley team making it to the biggest stage in professional basketball.
The official Cardinals account on Twitter was one of the first to chime in with congratulations.

After receiving unwarranted criticism for his apparent lack of interest in the Arizona community, third-year Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray shared his appreciation for the Suns’ accomplishment on Wednesday.

Arizona running back Chase Edmonds seems poised to be the focus of the team’s rushing attack during the upcoming season. Quite active on Twitter, Edmonds has voiced his support for Phoenix throughout their run in the NBA Playoffs, and last night was no different.
He specifically called out Suns point guard Chris Paul for making his first NBA Finals appearance in his storied, 16-year career.
CP3 earned and deserved this one. Long time coming

Even second-year Cardinals linebacker Isaiah Simmons chimed in on Wednesday, hoping the Phoenix will bring an NBA championship back to Arizona in July.

This is the Suns’ chance to bask in a job well done. The Cardinals will probably have even higher expectations during the 2021 season from the Arizona community, who will expect more high-level performances from their local team.
The job is not complete and Phoenix has one more series to overcome, but they are heavy betting favorites to win it all.
Cardinals players surely have the same thought in the back of their minds. Bring home another championship for Arizona.
