Which Arizona Cardinals players are trending up after the team’s preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys?
The Arizona Cardinals saw a lot of positives in their Week 1 preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys last Friday. And it’s always nice to get a win, even when the games don’t count.
During Friday’s preseason opener, Cardinals kicker Matt Prater did something that Zane Gonzalez did not do a year ago; he made a clutch kick. A game-winning kick. No, the win won’t count, nor will it go down as an official statistic for Prater. But why spoil the fun?
However, Prater and his clutch kick did not make the list of the three Cardinals whose performances put the team on notice following Week 1 of the preseason. Nor did rookie linebacker Zaven Collins, despite his sensational tackle in the backfield on Cowboys running back Tony Pollard.
Again, Arizona saw a lot of positives following their 19-16 win over Dallas. But the following three players dazzled, either with potential, performance and in one case, as an insurance policy. So let’s explore who these three players are.
