David Njoku (Cleveland Browns)

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku has been mentioned in trade talks for what seems like forever. Could the Cardinals be the franchise that finally wrestles the 25-year-old pass-catcher away from the “Dawg Pound”?

Njoku’s numbers have plummeted over the past two seasons with the Browns. Injuries limited the former University of Miami product to a mere 24 catches, 254 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in the 17 games he dressed for during that time. A far cry from the 88 receptions, 1,025 yards, and eight scores Njoku racked up during the 2017 and 2018 campaigns for Cleveland.

A change of scenery could potentially do wonders for the 6-foot-4, 246-pounder. Austin Hooper, last year’s free-agent pickup, has moved past Njoku on the Browns depth chart. It could be a perfect time for Keim to see what it would take to bring the former first-round pick to the desert.
