Keim deserves kudos for the savvy maneuver he pulled off during the second round of the 2017 draft. The Cards moved up nine slots to grab Budda Baker, a defensive back out of the University of Washington who they obviously had to have.

Four years have now passed, and Baker has established himself as one of the league’s best safeties. There have been three trips to the Pro Bowl for the 25-year-old, and two First-team All-Pro nominations as well.

The scary part for opposing offenses is that the best may be yet to come for the 5-foot-10,195-pound Baker. How the Washington native made it through the draft’s opening round is a bona fide mystery. Thankfully he did, and now Arizona enthusiasts will get to enjoy the talented Baker for many years to come.
