1. Patrick Peterson – CB

For eight consecutive years, cornerback Patrick Peterson represented the Cardinals’ defensive unit in the Pro Bowl. The 6-foot-1, 203-pounder was the franchise’s fifth-overall pick back in 2011, and he was more than ready to live up to the lofty expectations that came with being such a high draft choice.

The LSU product was the epitome of a shutdown corner. Peterson was a three-time First-Team All-Pro, and he was also voted to the NFL’s All-Decade team in May of 2020.

Throughout his career, the Florida native was handed the unenviable task of shadowing the opposition’s best wide receiver in every game he participated in. The Cards have employed many sensational cover guys over the years, but an argument can be made that Peterson could have very well been the best of them all.
