With an impressive road win on Sunday over the Cleveland Browns, the Arizona Cardinals are still the only undefeated team in the NFL this season.
Just when the Arizona Cardinals seem to be heading into an unfavorable matchup, they do what they’ve done all season long, and leave the field with a victory.
This week, the Cardinals made easy work of the Cleveland Browns and improved their 2021 record to 6-0 with a 37-14 win.
Arizona is still the only undefeated team in the NFL and there is no reason for anyone to not believe they are currently the best team in the league after the first six weeks of the season.
Arizona Cardinals have zero trouble in win over Cleveland Browns
Before Sunday’s game even started, most assumed the Cardinals would be at a disadvantage since their head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, was unable to be on the sidelines due to a positive COVID-19 test on Friday.
But Arizona’s assistant coaches stepped up and impressively filled the void left by Kingsbury this week. The Cardinals having a massive amount of talent on their roster also helped a tiny bit as well.
Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray quieted any doubts some might have had about his injured shoulder as he went out and threw for 229 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions with ease.
DeAndre Hopkins hauled in a pair of touchdown passes and A.J. Green led the team in receiving on Sunday with five catches for 79 yards and a score of his own.
The Cardinals’ defense did a great job of holding Cleveland’s rushing attack (ranked No. 1 in the NFL) to just 73 yards on the ground. Arizona actually turned out to be the better team when it came to running the ball on Sunday as they finished with 144 rushing yards.
In addition to containing the Browns’ talented rushing attack, the Cardinals’ defense pressured Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield all day long, sacking him five times.
Next on the docket for Arizona is a Week 7 matchup inside State Farm Stadium against the Houston Texans, who have lost their last five games after opening the season with a win.
