Chris Godwin – WR

One of the strongest parts of the Arizona roster this year has been the wide receiver position. That could change in 2022, however, due to the fact that Christian Kirk and A.J. Green are scheduled to enter the world of unrestricted free agency.

Losing either Kirk or Green, or both, would be a significant blow to the wideout room. Counteracting that subtraction with a physical receiver like Chris Godwin would certainly soften the punch. Could the Cardinals pry the 25-year-old away from the Super Bowl-winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Last March, the Bucs slapped the 6-foot-1, 208-pounder with the franchise tag, a designation that paid Godwin almost $16 million this fall. The 2019 Pro Bowler will not come cheap, but good players never do. Cards quarterback Kyler Murray would have to be thrilled with having a pass-catching duo featuring DeAndre Hopkins and Godwin at his disposal for the next several seasons.
