5 free agents who the Cardinals need to bring back in 2022

James Conner – RB
The Redbirds got one heck of a bargain back in April when they inked running back James Conner to an extremely team-friendly contract. The one-year deal cost management just $1.75 million and is now looking like one of the biggest steals of the 2021 offseason.
What Conner has added to the “Air Raid” offense has been immeasurable. The 6-foot-1, 233-pounder has brought raw power to the Cards running game, and he has also proven to be a pass-catching threat out of the backfield.
One would be under the assumption that head coach and play-caller Kliff Kingsbury would want Conner to return in the worst way. It will obviously cost Arizona much more to sign the 26-year old this time around, but the investment will be well worth it.
