Murray throws for 450 yards

I almost went the ultra-bold route and placed 500 in that slot, which more than doubles the average number of passing yards the Lions allow per game. But, Kyler Murray is capable of reaching the 450-yard mark. And in 2021, he has proven he doesn’t need to rely solely on DeAndre Hopkins to put up big numbers.

With Hopkins out, no one expects Murray to produce admirably through the air. However, he has evolved from serviceable in 2019 to Pro Bowl-caliber in 2020 to All-Pro-caliber in 2021. And he will do what great quarterbacks do: Put together an unforgettable performance in the face of adversity.

In Murray’s last three starts, he has thrown two touchdowns and four interceptions. He also lost Hopkins for the season. It’s crunch time for Murray’s sake and he’ll respond well against a porous Lions defense. Murray hasn’t eclipsed the 400-yard passing mark since Week 2. And he has an opportunity to shatter that milestone in Week 15.
