The Arizona Cardinals are gearing up for a homestand against what may be the hottest team in football in the Indianapolis Colts.
They say the best way to evaluate something you’re emotionally attached to is to emotionally detach yourself from it. So, the honest review regarding the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts in recent weeks is that they’re two franchises heading in opposite directions.
The Colts started the season 0-3 and nowhere near the playoff picture. They’re 8-3 in their last 11 games and are the hottest team in football. The Cardinals started strong at 7-0, but they’re 3-4 since, bottoming out following an embarrassing performance against the Detroit Lions.
Great teams climb their way out of holes. And in Week 16, the Cardinals face that moment of truth. Are they a great football team? Or are the 2021 Cardinals no different than Cardinals teams of the past that have struggled to even win division championships, let alone win in the playoffs?
Defeating a hot team like the Colts is a definite way of telling the NFL Universe. This is a different team than in years past.
