3 Bold Predictions: Arizona Cardinals vs. Indianapolis Colts – Week 16
By Sion Fawkes
Green goes vintage too
The injuries are piling up for the Cardinals at wide receiver. DeAndre Hopkins is out. Rondale Moore hasn’t practiced all week. And there is also a chance Zach Ertz doesn’t play, although he was full-go on Thursday.
The buck stops with A.J. Green to be the unsung hero this week, and he will go ultra-vintage. Green hasn’t caught a touchdown pass since October 17, and the streak ends this Saturday. And while Green has looked good in three of the past four games, he has really come on in the past two weeks with a 60 percent catch rate and 11 total receptions.
Look for Green to continue his recent productive trend against the Colts and post his third 100-yard game of the season with so many injuries to the receiving unit.
This isn’t meant to be so bold as to predict Green will win Player of the Week honors. But he will remind everyone why Steve Keim gave him a chance back in March.
