Lucas Patrick – Guard

2021 Team: Green Bay Packers

It appears that the Cardinals are going to need help at one, if not both, of their starting guard spots next fall. Lucas Patrick is an experienced 28-year-old who could make sense both on the field and financially for the squad in 2022.

The 6-foot-3, 313-pound Patrick has logged 28 starts for the Green Bay Packers over the past two campaigns. The former undrafted free agent out of Duke University has seen time at both guard positions (and center as well) since he inked a deal with Green Bay back in 2017.

Patrick was paid an extremely economical base salary of $1.65 million last season. A bump-up in pay will likely be in order for the Packers starter, but even a raise for the blocker could still fall in line with what the Cards can afford.
