Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd recently included Arizona Cardinals signal-caller Kyler Murray on his list of current Super Bowl-caliber quarterbacks in the NFL.
Kyler Murray has only been in the NFL for three years, but the Arizona Cardinals signal-caller is already being viewed in a select company of current quarterbacks in the league that can lead their teams to a Super Bowl victory.
On a recent episode of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” Murray was included on a list of the current Super Bowl-caliber quarterbacks in the NFL, according to the show’s host, Colin Cowherd.
In addition to Murray, the other quarterbacks included on the list were Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Matthew Stafford, Joe Burrow, Derek Carr, and Deshaun Watson.
Can Kyler Murray lead the Arizona Cardinals to a Super Bowl?
During the first third of the 2021 season, Murray was playing at an MVP level, and the Cardinals were defeating every opponent that stood in their way.
But then the Arizona quarterback suffered an injury that kept him sidelined for a few games, and it seemed like the team, and Murray, were never able to get back to the level that they were playing at during the early part of the season.
Since the end of the 2021 campaign, there’s been more drama surrounding Murray than optimism about his future. It seems like the drama has died down for now, but could it end up becoming a distraction for the Cardinals again this offseason?
Everyone knows Murray has the talent to be a superstar quarterback in the NFL. He just has to figure out a way to put together a complete season first. He still has a bright future ahead of him, but Arizona’s collapse at the end of the 2021 campaign has certainly increased the number of people who doubt Murray’s abilities.
The ceiling of the current Cardinals quarterback is definitely capable of him hoisting a Vince Lombardi trophy in the air. But is that something he will be able to accomplish with Arizona’s current roster and coaching staff?
