Mark Smith – DT (1997)

When Mark Smith entered the league back in 1997, the 212th-overall choice joined a formidable Cardinals defensive line that included Eric Swann and Simeon Rice. Andre Wadsworth was added a year later, and Smith managed to take advantage of all of the talent that was surrounding him.

Smith got off to a solid start as a rookie in 1997, registering 38 tackles and six sacks in 16 appearances. He was even better in 1998, tallying 72 tackles and nine sacks in the 14 contests he dressed for.

During his four seasons with Arizona, Smith totaled 158 tackles and 18 sacks in 46 games (24 starts). The Mississippi native spent two years with the Cleveland Browns after leaving the Cards before his NFL career came to an end following the 2002 campaign.
