Seahawks find themselves at the bottom of the NFC West

This was an easy one. Any time a franchise fails to replace their franchise quarterback with a quarterback that is a decent starter, it’s a massive failure. Unfortunately, Pete Carroll and John Schneider continue to be in a generational disconnect with their players and their city.

Yes, they won a Super Bowl almost ten years ago (already?), but it seems since Malcolm Butler intercepted Wilson in the waning seconds of Super Bowl XLIX, it’s like they’ve never recovered.

After not doing so for years when Wilson was in town, drafting an offensive lineman in Charles Cross in the first round was a slap in the face to Seahawks fans and Wilson himself. They also did Bobby Wagner dirty by not informing him personally of his release.

It’s time for Caroll to retire, as he has lived long enough as the coach of the Seahawks to become the villain. Good luck with a porous defense and a Drew Lock-led offense.

Prediction: A top-five draft pick as a consolation prize for an abysmal 2022 season
