Kyler the Great
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray struggles at times, but he often looks as though he is at his best during the early stages of the season. Against the Chiefs defense that ranked 27th overall in 2021, Murray has an opportunity to shine regardless of who lines up alongside him.
He can utilize two or perhaps even three tight ends this week, depending on Ertz’s condition. And even without Hopkins, Murray still has an arsenal of receivers as mentioned in the previous slide. Then there is James Conner, who is one of the best short-yardage backs in football. Conner can also sneak out of the backfield as a surehanded pass-catcher himself.
With his new contract in hand, Murray can also set the business side of things aside. And in doing so, his game may elevate to new heights in Year Four. We know what he can do early in the season, so if he elevates his game early, look for a big outing against a Chiefs defense in transition. And it may just bring about enough points to snag the W.
