13 – Tremaine Edmunds, LB (Bills)

Edmunds is almost a shoo-in to return to the Buffalo Bills. But if he tests the market, he should hit the Arizona Cardinals radar. Like Pratt, Edmunds was also effective in pass coverage, earning a grade of 86.9 per PFF.

Also like Pratt, Edmunds is a sure tackler. In his first five seasons, he recorded 565 of them, and per Pro-Football-Reference, had a missed tackle rate of just 1%. Ordinarily, rebuilding teams wouldn’t take a guy heading into his sixth season, but Edmunds will only be 25 in 2023, so he’s worth a look if the Bills don’t re-sign him.

14 – Bryce Callahan, CB (Chargers)

An older corner, Callahan would likely arrive as a stopgap only. But like I mentioned with Javon Hargrave, Callahan would provide an outstanding veteran presence for a rebuilding football team.

He will be 32 in 2023, but he is also coming off of his best season with three interceptions, a pick six, and 6.9 yards per target. He allowed a quarterback rating of just 80.0. Overall, this budding journeyman is worth the look if he tests the market.

As mentioned, don’t expect the Arizona Cardinals to sign any of the above players except for maybe one, who would act as a prize free agent. But since their current contracts are expiring, you can instead consider these above players as the best free agent targets on their respective teams if they don’t re-sign immediately.
