The Arizona Cardinals will be making some team renovations in 2023. Here are five bold predictions heading into what will be a season of change.

The Arizona Cardinals landed on hard times. They finished 4-13, saw their general manager and head coach depart for the better, and saw accomplished coaches spurn them at every turn. It wasn’t a good year for the Cardinals, and some may say the early stages of the offseason have been disappointing. But that doesn’t mean we can’t get bold.

However, I won’t predict the next coach here. Instead, I’ll touch on free agency, the NFL Draft, and even some offseason workouts, making five bold and optimistic picks along the way. So what could be in store for the Cardinals 2023 offseason? Without further ado, let’s make some bold predictions.

Oh yes, you can expect general manager Monti Ossenfort and the new Cardinals coach to raid the NFC West and bring a few players over to the Valley of the Sun. But who would want to play in the desert for a team in transition?

Experienced players who will help oversee such a transition. You won’t get any blockbuster signings here. But you will see players coming in who can be leaders and stopgaps. And as it stands, that’s exactly what the Redbirds need for 2023.

Look for the Cardinals to bring in talent along the offensive and defensive lines. These are two areas of the team in the most dire need, and as it stands, the Redbirds are practically barren in each unit.

It also wouldn’t surprise me if they landed another veteran running back to pair with James Conner for a season. Right now, the Cards have an empty cupboard talent-wise behind Conner, so it wouldn’t hurt to go after someone capable of carrying the ball seven to 10 times a game.
