The Arizona Cardinals have A LOT of unknowns heading into the 2023 offseason. Here are the five largest that you need to know about.

The Arizona Cardinals have no idea if their star receiver will be in the lineup for 2023, and they also don’t know when their quarterback will return from his torn ACL. This time last year, we knew the answers to both questions. Then that star receiver earned a six-game suspension while the star quarterback underperformed, sans two phenomenal quarters in a Week 2 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Redbirds seemingly had a roster talented enough to at least contend for the playoffs, until major injuries hit. And by December 2022, just about everyone in the NFL universe knew owner Michael Bidwill needed to institute a regime change.

That said, the Arizona Cardinals are a mystery facing a lot of unknowns this offseason. Let’s explore a few of them.

1 – Will the Arizona Cardinals trade DeAndre Hopkins?

This is the question on everyone’s minds. Not only do we have no idea if the Redbirds will trade Hopkins, we also don’t know much in the way of which team he would agree to join, and at what compensation. Overall, a Hopkins trade, or lack thereof, will alter the franchise in one way or another.

Keep Hopkins, and you have a legit one-two punch with him lining up opposite Marquise Brown. Trade him away, then the Cardinals will have three receivers on the team under six-foot, meaning they would need to find a big target in free agency or the draft.
